Take Care – Poisonous Plant
Hemlock Water Dropwort
You may have noticed that work is underway at the Mundy Playing Fields to remove a particular plant from some areas near the stream. This plant is called Hemlock Water Dropwort. It grows throughout the UK and is very common. It is poisonous if eaten. As a precautionary measure, we are removing the plant from parts of the stream where children often play. In the other areas where it grows, the plant will be left alone and information boards will be installed with more details. If you would like more information on how Thornbury Town Council manages Hemlock Water Dropwort at the Mundy Playing Fields, please contact us on 01454 412103 or info@thornburytowncouncil.gov.uk
