We are often approached by members of the public who wish to commemorate a loved one. Thornbury Town Council is therefore very happy to announce the launch of its new memorial bench and memorial tree scheme. You could also choose to mark a special occasion or anniversary.
You can sponsor a bench to be installed, or a tree planted, in one of three green spaces looked after by the Town Council. We are also offering a more affordable alternative which is to order a plaque from us for a “shared” memorial bench.
The Town Council is committed to planting more trees on its land and it hopes that this new scheme will be an important part of achieving this.
