CANCELLED: Community Coronation Picnic
It is with a very heavy heart that we have taken the difficult decision to cancel the Coronation Community Picnic tomorrow. The forecast has continued to deteriorate and the weather now looks to be atrocious for Saturday.
We hope you all enjoy your coronation celebrations in the warmth and dry!
Please do pass this message on to friends and family who may have been planning on attending.
Community Coronation Picnic Saturday 6 May

On Saturday 6 May, Thornbury Town Council will be hosting a Community Picnic, including live screening of
the Coronation of King Charles III, on the Mundy Playing Fields. The event will be free of charge. The event will be open to the public from 10am, with live screening in time for the start of the coronation ceremony at 11am.
There will be a royal themed dressing up competition at the end of the screening – just head over to the childrens activity area. There are nature based activities for children, and the splash pad will be up and running. In recognition of the Great British weather, shelter will be provided by way of large marquees. Everybody is encouraged to bring a picnic.
Parking at the Mundy Playing Fields for the Community Coronation Picnic on 6 May 2023 is reserved for disabled parking only, and will only be available where pre-booked, subject to availability. Access is via Kington Lane.
Please complete the form to book a disabled parking space: https://forms.office.com/e/GZU1ZFTA13
A Park and Ride facility is available from Thornbury Leisure Centre. Attendees are encouraged to walk or cycle to the event where possible.
This event will be partly funded by Community Benefit Funding received from the Tower Hill Solar Farm.
