The Tourist Information Centre is situated in the Town Hall, High Street and is open from 9.00am – 5.00pm and from 10.00am-1.00pm on Saturday during the Summer months, Easter to September. It is operated by Town Council staff and although not affiliated to the English Tourist Board it has received many accolades for its quality of service and quantity of information.

The Centre caters not only for visitors but is also a great source of information for residents. The vast stock of leaflets provides information, not only for local attractions, but also for many places of interest throughout the country.
