The Tourist Information Centre is situated in the Town Hall, High Street and is open from 9.00am – 5.00pm and from 10.00am-1.00pm on Saturday during the Summer months, Easter to September. It is operated by Town Council staff and although not affiliated to the English Tourist Board it has received many accolades for its quality of service and quantity of information.
The Centre caters not only for visitors but is also a great source
of information for residents. The vast stock of leaflets provides
information, not only for local attractions, but also for many places
of interest throughout the country. Further information can be found
for theatres in Bristol, Bath, Cardiff, Cheltenham etc, along with
information on local events, local services and bus timetables.

centre can help by providing a relocation package containing material
to answer many of your questions. The centre has a wide range of
souvenirs to remind you of your stay in Thornbury, which can be
a useful source of gifts for residents to send to relatives and
friends living abroad.
This charming historic market town provides an excellent touring centre with numerous attractions within a 35 mile radius. Museums and collections, houses and gardens, country and wildlife parks and other places of interest.
There are many sports and leisure activities including golf, fishing, horse riding, windsurfing and leisure centres. World class sporting events such as the famous Badminton Horse trials are staged in the area.
